About me
Sue Mylde (she/her) is an educator with several years of experience in communication, STEM, computer science, coding, and education. She is most excited about the space where technology meets pedagogy meets innovation and advocates for balance in today’s increasingly digital world. She enjoys engaging students in learner experiences that allow them to nurture crucial, transferable skills such as critical thinking, design thinking and problem-solving. By developing programs which include Robotics, Coding, and Digital Citizenship, Sue understands the importance of a dynamic, future-friendly curriculum that prepares students for the ever-changing world of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Sue has led many professional learning sessions for teachers and educators where she shares her experiences and develops educator competencies and skills in multiple aspects of innovative technology use in the classroom. Professionally, she is the curriculum lead for Computer Science as well as coordinating the Innovation, Design, Entrepreneurship and Skills (IDEAS) Program at Rundle College in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Sue was born in Singapore, completed her foundational schooling in London, England, and has enjoyed living in Calgary, since 2011.
