Kylie is the current Director of Education Technology at Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools. Growing up in a family of educators, he never imagined that he would end up in the Alberta K-12 education system, but by good fortune, he accidentally became a teacher in 2009. Since then, he has been working on disrupting the traditional norms of the educational system he grew up in.
As a teacher, Kylie helped students design their educational journey around their passions and skills, helping them successfully transition to meaningful careers after high school.
As a divisional leader, Kylie has continued to evolve his practice at a systems-based level by challenging the conventional concept of ‘we’ve always done it that way’.
