About me
A passionate mathematician, Kristine has dedicated her career to developing resources for high school students focusing on connecting mathematics to the real world. Kristine completed her Master of Education degree, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction in Mathematics, allowing her to practice alternative teaching and assessment strategies while conducting data-driven research on reversed instruction and literacy and numeracy. Kristine has also completed studies on the connection between technology in the classroom and achievement versus technology and engagement, and PBL versus Traditional (lecture-based) classroom instruction. Performing action research in a classroom setting has inspired Kristine to look for innovative ways to engage students in the learning outcomes, connect to the community, and apply lifelong learning skills in their everyday lives.
