About me
Hi there,
I live and work in the wonderful city of Fort McMurray. I am a lifelong learner whose career has evolved over the years based on my ongoing learning. I have been teaching since 2001. I began my career teaching grade 4/5/6 math and science, moved into grade 1, and then moved up to grade 9 math, science and technology. I then left the classroom to become a Numeracy and Special Education Technology Coordinator. This role eventually evolved into the Supervisor of Educational Technology where I oversee special education technology, PowerSchool, and support teachers using educational technology within their classrooms. I have recently also taken on the role of vice-principal half-time and balance my school-level responsibilities with my existing division-level responsibilities. I am passionate about learning and supporting students in becoming the best version of themself. I value differentiation and strive to create inclusive environments where all students are represented and can experience success. I feel technology is a tool we can use to support student learning, but it needs to be intentional and curated to meet individual student needs. I look forward to my continued learning journey and where it will take me!
